Ubuntu is a free opensource operating system provided by Ubuntu community. It has good looking desktop environment. The keyboard shortcut's are very essential, because it reduce time and increase speed of operation. Here we listed some popular keyboard shortcut's which is mainly used in Ubuntu operating system
Keyboard Shortcuts in Ubuntu
  1. If you want to move between one work area to another one work area - Alt+Ctrl+Arrow Up/Down/Left/Right.
  2. If you want to move from current active window to another one desktop area - Alt+Ctrl+Shift+Up/Down/Left/Right.
  3. It simply displays all open windows in all workspaces (desktop area's  also) - Alt+Shift+Up Arrow
  4. It Enables the option to move the current active window by using the arrow keys - Alt+F7.
  5. It Enables the option to resize the current active window by using the arrow keys - Alt+F8.
  6. If you want to lock the screen (Ubuntu Desktop) - Ctrl+Alt+L.
Within Nautilus (Desktop Environment mode)
  1. If you want to create new folder in desktop or any other places - Shift+Ctrl+N.
  2. If you want to know properties of file or folder - Alt+Enter.
  3. If you want to close the current active window - Ctrl+W.
  4. If you want to open a new tab in browser or file system - Ctrl+T.
  5. It moves to folder - Alt+Up.
  6. It moves forward or backward - Alt+Left/Right.
  7. It moves direct to user's folder - Alt+Home.
  8. If you want to show or hide your left sidebar in file system or any folder place - F9.
  9. If you want to show or hide hidden files or folders - Ctrl+H.
